Job Description

Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pmSaturday: 8am to 12pmRESPONSIBILITIES:1. Welding and Repair:

• Perform welding and repair tasks on ISO tankers using shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) processes.
• Weld pipes in various positions, including horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.

2. Read the technical drawings and know the welding symbols:

• Interpret and understand welding symbols and blueprints to determine welding requirements.

3. Safety:

• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify and address any safety concerns related to welding and repair tasks.

4. Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.

5. Documentation:

• Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any repairs completed.

REQUIREMENTS:1. Proven experience as a 6G welder, with a focus on welding and repairing ISO tankers.
2. Certification in relevant welding techniques.
3. Excellent knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety procedures.
4. Ability to read the technical drawings and welding symbols.
5. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work in various environments and conditions.
7.
