Job Description


Job Purpose The Manager, Ab-Initio Training provides consultancy and advisory services on learning solutions and interventions to our Corporate Division(s) to meet business’s needs. He/She liaises and collaborates with various stakeholders to understand critical requirements and objectives to diagnose workplace performance gaps and evaluate learning opportunities. Working alongside Learning technology Designers in a matrix project team, he designs and implements bespoke learning solutions and interventions to drive business results, workplace performance improvement and behavior change. He evaluates the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions and interventions and develops long-term implementation plans.

Responsibilities Conduct workplace performance diagnosis

  • Engage key stakeholders to understand overall business and performance objectives
  • Conduct learner profile and learning needs analyses
  • Assess learning needs with stakeholders to determine performance and learning gaps and opportunities
Design learning solutions and interventions
  • Develop implementation and communication plans for proposed learning solutions and interventions
  • Engage stakeholders to gain buy-in ahead of implementation of learning solutions and interventions
  • Implement strategies to manage learner development during the implementation of learning solutions and interventions
  • Manage issues which arise during the implementation of learning solutions and interventions
Evaluate impact and effectiveness of learning solutions
  • Conduct assessments to measure learner progress and performance
  • Review feedback from learners and external stakeholders on the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions and interventions
  • Communicate outcomes and long-term recommendations to client stakeholders
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities
Manage stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholders to build relationships and drive collaboration
  • Manage contractual and performance issues with existing vendors

Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Possess a bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised university
  • Possess WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA), or equivalent
  • Possession of the Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or a Learning Sciences qualification will be an advantage
  • Possess at least 5 years of training experience in a WSQ Approved Training Organisation or Institute of Higher Learning
  • Track record in designing, developing, and executing training programme
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods
  • Comfortable interacting with people at all levels with strong interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict management skills
  • Good understanding of Skills Frameworks and workplace learning methodologies
