Day to day activities

• This position is open for Singapore office.
• We use the scrum methodology to support our projects.
• Collaborate with teams of experts from all departments.

As a Data Engineer

• Develop, deploy and maintain big data solutions.
• Lead the development of a data architecture that supports the three Vs of big data (Volume, Velocity and Variety).
• Design and serve a "Dataplatform As A Service" for Analytics Engineers and business users.
• Develop data extraction and load framework that support any sources from Hafnia\'s applicative ecosystem. Genericity is key.
• Set the rules for data cleaning and normalization before serving the data to consumers.
• Ensure that the data modelling best practices are followed.
• Understand and run any kind of high-performance analytical database like Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift, Bigquery, Databricks...

As an Analytics engineer

• Explore business data set to uncover business insights.
• Work closely with the businesses on core issues and use data to find answer.
• Roll out data products to Hafnia\'s data platform.
• Implement data applications to provide analytics insight for Hafnia\'s stakeholders.
• Guide and educate users through Hafnia\'s data platform.
• Design, Build and Maintain data pipelines to build data products that solve data challenges.
• Follow the best practices for managing code version and source control for data product development.

Qualifications:

Soft Skills

• Passion for data and analytics.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Self-learner, self-driven, responsible and strong sense of ownership.
• A strong communication skill with the ability to switch between data/technical language and business/layperson data related discussion.
• Experience in the shipping industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Hard skills

• Strong knowledge on Azure Data Services (SQL DWH/Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory) is preferred.
• Black belt in SQL and Python.
• At least 2 years\' experience in data analytics (BI, Data science, Data Engineering) manipulating large and complex data sets.
• Strong skills on data modelling and data visualization tools, preferably PowerBI and Excel.
• Strong foundation with Distributed Systems manipulation (Spark, PySpark)
• Strong foundation in Azure Data Services.
• Experience in large organization or consulting is preferred.
• Understanding of DBT concepts for data pipeline creation.
• Degree / Masters degree in IT Engineering.

What will you do?

We are recruiting a data and analytics engineer.

As a data engineer, you will work on Microsoft Azure technology to implement Hafnia\'s data platform (Azure infrastructure, data ingestion and transformation framework, devops pipelines, ELT pipelines, data security, and more from the technical stack like Synapse, Spark and Databricks).

As an analytics engineer, you will use your expertise to support the operational business teams with data-driven decisions. You know and understand how to design and market business intelligence reports, data pipelines and other data products. A good understanding of AI concept to perform exploratory analysis and discover new opportunities will be required in a very near future.
