What the role is:You assist in the governance of the contracts under various functional areas (eg. Maintenance, Supply, Training and Services) within the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).What you will be working on:On this, you track and report on the readiness of all contracts, and provide oversight on contracts to ensure compliance with the MINDEF/SAF outsourcing framework. You also represent RSN in contract management matters with MINDEF, internal, and external agencies. In addition, you are the Secretary to the RSN Outsourcing and Contracting Committee (ROCC). Your challenge lies in working with various agencies for a coherent outsourcing approach that adheres to the outsourcing framework and meets the contracting intent.What we are looking for:You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Business Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Engineering. Having experience in contracting and engineering, especially in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), is advantageous. Possession of good communication skills to coordinate across various agencies is essential. You should also be an independent worker who is able to make sense of various information sources and query approaches in outsourcing to meet the intended goals. Having the ability to distill and frame challenges for management appreciation to facilitate decision-making is required. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
