KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent will work with teams from conceptualisation to operations, providing technical subject matter expertise for data solutions in the enterprise, using modern data tech KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent will work with teams from conceptualisation to operations, providing technical subject matter expertise for data solutions in the enterprise, using modern data technologies. This individual will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of data initiatives. The role will also be responsible for expanding and optimising data architecture. Key Responsibilities Grow, develop, and manage data infrastructure Design and build efficient and resilient data pipelines for batch and streaming data Manage data engineering solutions, through extraction and integration of data from a variety of data sources Maintain high quality engineering standards Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and flexibility of the services KEY REQUIREMENTS Min 7 years of data engineering, data platform and data infrastructure experience Good knowledge and solutioning experience in Azure is preferred (e.g. Microsoft Azure architecture, DevOps, ETL, Data Lake architecture) Experience in various data stores (e.g. HDFS, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse) Experience in messaging systems (e.g. Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, IBM MQ) Strong skills in programming language like Java and Python is required Experience in designing, implementing large scale data pipelines (including data collection, storage, processing, analysis, monitoring, and governance) Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills and experience Strong analytical, interpersonal and collaboration skills Aviation domain knowledge would be an advantage
