The candidate should have good knowledge of public procurement policies and guidelines. The candidate will lead a small team to support stakeholders in all aspects of the end to end procurement cycle.What you will be working on:Responsibilities:-Review of documents prior to publication of quotation/tender (ITQ/ITT)Review and provide feedback on Quotation & Tender Evaluation ReportsReview and approval of awardsAssist and provide advice/guidance to stakeholders and leading team members to resolve matters with stakeholdersManage the tendering and quotation documents/processes to ensure compliance with procurement policies and guidelinesContinuous review of policies and procedures in areas pertaining to procurement to ensure compliance with applicable regulations; and to roll out new guidelines/advisorySupervise, guide and motivate colleagues in the procurement teamConduct training sessions for Schools and DepartmentsInvolvement in procurement development projects to enhance procurement process efficacyIdentify opportunities for process improvementsAny other procurement related functions and initiativesWhat we are looking for:Requirements:-Minimum 5 years of experience in public procurementA resourceful team player who has demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast pace environmentPossess good analytical and problem solving skills to address cross functional work issuesGood verbal and written communicationProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerpointHands on experience with procurement platform, GeBIZ, and Cumulus (Workday) system will be added advantageSuccessful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.Closing date: 3 May 2024If you are shortlisted for the position(s), you should hear from us within 30 days of the closing date of the advertisement.About Singapore Polytechnic:As Singapore\'s first polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic (SP) prides ourselves in providing the best learning experience for our students in pre-employment and continuing adult education.
