Job Description


Job Purpose

The role of manager, Distribution Business Propositions (DBP) is to assist and support the Assistant Vice President of DBP in managing and execution process of strategies that align to the Life business expansion plan. The position takes responsibility for delivering results in Life business across the Agency and Financial Advisers channels in Singapore and the incumbent will report to Assistant Vice President, DBP.

The Job

\xc2\xb7 Execute strategies and plans for growth in Life business and to achieve marketplace leader position in the Agency/FA channels

\xc2\xb7 Assist and support the AVP of DBP in developing and managing Life Business Strategies

\xc2\xb7 Monitor the quality of ILP business in term of persistency rate, premium holiday trend, reduction of premium frequency etc and implement safeguard measures to ensure business quality.

\xc2\xb7 Execute the following key tasks

1. Strategic Management

- Support strategic business update on life products development

- Education: To run product /sales proposition workshop; sales kit; product related trainings

- Liaise with Market Conduct Compliance and Training & Competency teams to manage and educate distribution on business quality

- Collaborate with GELS departments namely ABD, CFE, Product Development, NBU, DAE and external vendor such as LGI to achieve business results

2. Business Development

- Improve the knowledge and competency of the Reps on Life business

- Increase the Life sales opportunities and activities of the Reps

- Enhance the ILP pre-post sales experience to the Reps

- Provide rewards and recognition to producers and leaders on Life Business

- Provide case management support to Mass Affluent and HNW ILP Cases

3. Operations & Communication

- Provide scheduled fund performance update and economy outlook to producers and leaders

- Provide regular Life sales update to engage producers and leaders

- Provide competitors\xe2\x80\x99 products and funds comparison and development

- Product clinic to address product related / consumer promo enquiries and helpdesk

4. Others

- Organize focus group discussions with identified producers and leaders for selected projects

- Manage product pre-launch events

- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks

- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Qualifications

Our Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor in Business Management, Banking and Finance or relevant degree

\xc2\xb7 Min. 3 years of experience in Life Insurance (Agency or Bancassurance or FA)

\xc2\xb7 Min. 3 years of experience in Life Distribution as Business Development or Product Trainer.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in Life Product (Mainly on ILP), and/or Business Development is preferred

\xc2\xb7 High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.

\xc2\xb7 Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.

Knowledge

  • Life Insurance and ILP products
  • ILP Funds distribution and training
  • Life not limited to ILP products positioning and concepts.
Others courses and certifications
  • CFP or ChFC (Preferable)
  • CMFAS Certification
