Manager (Enterprise Architecture)

Reporting to the Deputy Director (Enterprise Architecture), the jobholder will exploit digital technologies and transform HTX's Information technology Systems and infrastructure across the Ministry of Home Affairs

Responsibilities

The job-holder will be responsible for the following:

Develop HTX Enterprise Architecture (EA), which is a collection of strategic information assets that defines the business, the information necessary to operate the business, the technologies and solutions necessary to support the business operations, and the transitional processes necessary for implementing new technologies in response to the changing business needs. The responsibilities can be further classified into the following:

Creating the HTX EA Blueprints;

Providing the HTX EA guiding principles;

Setting the HTX EA Governance structure;

Establishing the HTX Application Development Approach.

Develop HTX Technical Architecture (TA), which is a set of guidelines and standards to govern the design and formation of HTX & Home Team Departments (HTD)'s ICT systems to support the HTX IT business strategies. This includes identifying and defining the infrastructure services and technologies that support the Information Architecture (IA) and Application Architecture (AA) of HTX ICT Systems.

Develop and maintain the HTX Application Architecture (AA) artefacts that define the major kinds of systems and service components that support the business functions. Common service components are identified and provided as services for other applications to consume.

Develop & review technology related policies and procedures as part of technology governance.

Provide Information technology technical advisory for HTX ICT projects.

Explore and recommend cutting-edge technological solutions that can optimise HTX's IT Systems and Infrastructure.

Assist HTX to adopt technologies such as cloud, containerisation, virtualisation, software-defined networks, DevOps, etc.

Job requirements

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communications Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 2 years of practice in IT-related fields;

expertise and practice in Information technology service management, software-defined networking, cloud/ virtualisation technologies and/or DevOps will be an advantage;

Able to think strategically and analyse complex technological issues to propose solutions on architectural gaps;

Possess good verbal and written communication expertise.

Certification in significant Enterprise Architecture frameworks, e.g. TOGAF, Zachman Certified - Enterprise Architect Associate/Practitioner etc. would be an advantage;

Certified on Cloud technology certification would be an advantage;

All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
