Job Description


What the role is:You will be part of the Global Partnerships and Engagement Division, with the Communicable Diseases Agency Planning Office (CDA PO), responsible for advancing the agency\'s international, regional and bilateral relations with overseas counterparts and stakeholders. The CDA is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore\'s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. The CDA PO\'s role is to plan and execute the setup of the CDA, which will consolidate and build on the public health functions under MOH, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, and the Health Promotion Board. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:

  • Identify opportunities to advance Singapore\'s interests in global health security both internationally and bilaterally \xe2\x80\xa2 Strategise, formulate and and implement projects to build strategic partnerships with international counterparts and stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 Represent Singapore in regional and multilateral fora \xe2\x80\xa2 Staff senior officials and principals for international meetings (e.g., scheduling, conduct background research to prepare notes/talking points, logistic support, taking minutes) \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan, support and coordinate both incoming and outgoing visits
What we are looking for:
  • Background in public health and international relations or related disciplines will be an advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in government agencies or healthcare institutions \xe2\x80\xa2 A keen interest in Singapore\'s communicable diseases policies, global health issues and international affairs \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous individual with strong analytical competency \xe2\x80\xa2 Resilient individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Team player who is self-motivated to initiate and see through projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent interpersonal and networking skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written and verbal communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Willingness to travel overseas for work Key Competencies Require \xe2\x80\xa2 Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. \xe2\x80\xa2 Improving & Innovating - Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. \xe2\x80\xa2 Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
