We are a hub of knowledge and innovation, attracting healthcare professionals who are passionate about pushing boundaries and making significant contributions to the field.About Department and Purpose of the PositionThe National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one facility.We are seeking a Philanthropy Manager / Snr Manager to lead the overall Philanthropy Strategy for NCIS. The candidate will develop and operationalize a philanthropy strategy, building on the relationships already in place. With support from the Philanthropy Executive, the candidate will also develop a pipeline backed up by robust prospect research and oversee a stewardship program, that will optimize the prospects and contacts, volunteer-base and other senior stakeholders with a focus to raise funds for NCIS Cancer Fund.Key ResponsibilitiesPhilanthropy Strategy

  • Develop the organisation\'s philanthropy strategy; and integrate this with the wider organisational strategy
  • Work with the partners in the ecosystem to match donor pipeline and strategy
  • Develop and drive forward the donor engagement strategy, supporting the Leaders and Trustees
Cultivation and Stewardship
  • Create, manage and oversee the pipeline process to ensure effective cultivation and stewarding of donors
  • Work with the Marketing and Philanthropy team to produce successful proposals; and produce impact and progress reports for donors
  • Work with the Corporate Services teams to identify opportunities for cultivation and stewardship events; and to curate and manage those
  • Identify and target relevant events for the Leaders and Trustees to attend for pipeline cultivation
Systems and Processes
  • Work with the Head of Fund Administration to build on existing systems and processes in the organisation to develop an integrated and coherent system and process for donor pipeline management and management of grantee funding
  • Manage and oversee paperwork for both donors and grantees
Internal and external relationship management
  • Work with teams across the organization to ensure effective and efficient information flow relating to donor management and grantee partnerships
  • Build relationships with new donors, including but not limited to, the corporate sector and individual donors through providing a high-quality cultivation and stewardship service
  • Oversee the management of relationships of existing donors across the portfolio
Key RequirementsYou should be a high-potential executive who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the Public Healthcare with the following attributes:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years\' experience in similar field or in business development
  • Ability to develop donor engagement and income strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to write high-quality content for donors and proven track record of successful funding bids
  • Experience and success building and maintaining fundraising pipelines; as well as managing grant and other donor paperwork
  • Experience in working with a diverse range of audiences, particularly high net-worth individuals and corporate giving
  • Experience and success in building and maintaining a range of databases and online systems and processes
  • Demonstratable understanding and passion for healthcare
  • Flexible, team-oriented focus and adaptability to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
