Job Description


What the role is:

You will be part of a team that develops and implements strategies to foster an informed and connected society through engaging content in the digital media space. Specifically, you will chart new initiatives and partnerships with industry players within the social media and gaming industries to disseminate authentic local narratives and Singaporean cultural elements, aiming to captivate local audiences and extend Singapore\'s identity internationally. A keen interest and understanding of digital media trends, media consumption preferences, and analytical metrics for digital and social media are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design interventions, draw out execution plans and run initiatives in partnership with government and industry stakeholders to support the strategies in the social media and games industries.
  • Identify and evaluate new content creators and digital platform players for potential content partnerships to extend reach of local content and deepen engagement with younger viewers.
  • Identify and engage games developers and games publishers for potential partnerships to permeate local values and Singapore\'s culture.
  • Prepare assessments and recommendations to seek approval for projects.
  • Manage partnerships and projects, including project scoping, contract negotiation, progress monitoring, verification of deliverables, funding administration & performance review.
  • Establish good industry networks and collaborate with media industry players and public agencies for effective implementation of strategies, projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate discussion and engagement sessions with internal and/or external stakeholders, including the preparation of meeting materials.
Requirements
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in project management roles and business development experience in at least one of the following areas - Online Content Creation, Digital Media, Games Development / Games Publishing.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of short form content: demonstrate a keen insight into the dynamics of short form media, including its unique storytelling techniques, audience engagement strategies, and the ability to convey complex messages succinctly. The ideal candidate will have a discerning eye for identifying impactful, concise content that deeply resonates with and engages the target audiences.
  • Keen interest in the media industry, with good understanding of trends driving media consumption and shifts in the digital media ecosystem.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to distil complex environments and datasets into clear and actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management and communication (writing and presentation) skills.
  • Self-motivated team player who can also work independently to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
