Manager, Procurement and Regional Business Partner (APAC/MENA) at Checkout.com:

Checkout.com is seeking a dedicated Manager, Procurement and Regional Business Partner (APAC/MENA) to join our Procurement team to support the business growth and expansion.

The role will support the planning, implementation and purchasing and procurement strategies for various goods and services spend across the company globally. This includes acquiring resources within budget, facilitating communication between team members, suppliers, and key business partners, and proactively planning and sourcing the appropriate goods and services to help Checkout.com grow and meet its strategic objectives.

In addition, the Manager will be responsible for vendor performance, ensuring quality control throughout the contracting and performance lifecycle. You\'ll also ensure Procurement and AP guidelines, processes, principles, ethics, and sustainability objectives are all accounted for and constantly strive to deliver the lowest TCO for solutions.

Reporting into the Global Head of Procurement and Expense Operations, this is a key role with significant opportunity to have impact and build trust as an SME. You\'ll have the autonomy and freedom to deliver innovative solutions, support regional specific needs and global category plans.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Strong working knowledge of Procurement and AP processes, policies, and legislation
  • Project Management experience
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; ability to prioritise and implement while under pressure
  • A sophisticated ability to build tight-knit collaborations with partners and colleagues, act as a subject matter expert, internal consultant and trusted adviser
  • Compassionate with strong interpersonal skills; able to influence, negotiate, challenge suppliers and resolve varied stakeholder issues
  • Highly adaptable and flexible; able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities
  • Comfortable in a varied role and growing and developing team, able to take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
  • Pragmatic with the ability to navigate complexity in a dynamic and innovative environment
  • Prior Coupa and Workday financials experience is desirable
What you\'ll be doing:
  • Develop the vision, strategy, and implementation plan for categories of spend that enable long-range business outcomes and improve value for Checkout
  • This leader will develop and lead the implementation of procurement goals, strategy and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service, and compliance adherence.
  • Provide global and regional leadership across end-to-end category accountabilities including category strategy development, business partner engagement, sourcing, contracting, negotiating and supplier management.
  • Acts as a business engagement leader, identifying business demand requirements and delivering annual value improvements and unlocking competitive advantage.
  • Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
  • Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
  • Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management, improvement of end-to-end value and innovation
  • Identify, develop, and deliver the implementation of Procurements goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics
  • Identify and raise risks that may impact business outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyse trends in overall third party spend in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings or operational improvement.
  • Develop, establish, implement, and carry out supplier and out-sourcer guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements
  • Align with all purchasing policies and procedures, including those for goods and services, in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements
  • Constantly source, identify, and qualify potential new vendors or suppliers in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services
  • Develop and deliver purchasing and inventory reports, bid proposals, requirements documentation, and tender documents
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key team members and ensure regular communication and reporting as appropriate
  • Effectively communicate procurement strategies to team members and partners in a timely and clear way.
