Job Description


Do you enjoy the process of developing and injecting new life into heritage buildings? The Development Projects Division, in partnership with the NHB museum teams, is responsible for restoring, upgrading, revamping and/or re-developing museum and heritage institution buildings, to ensure the optimal performance of building infrastructure and overall visitor experience.

In this role, you will be responsible to develop, manage and complete infrastructure projects in NHB. If you have a keen interest in the heritage sector and want to be part of the team to contribute to the building of museum and heritage landmarks, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-divisional team on building development planning, design and construction works
  • Manage the project progress, schedule and budget. Identify project risks, put in place early mitigation measures and controls
  • Manage the consultants and contractors, including tender procurement and contract administration
  • Engage and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and partners
  • Ensure the project management adheres with institutional framework and regulatory standards
  • Environmental scanning on latest building industry trends and best practices, as well as prevailing authority requirements
  • Support the team in ensuring robust divisional project management system framework in place and successful completion of building projects. General corporate administrative works
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of working experience in project management field
  • Relevant working experience in architecture, engineering or quantity surveying firm office (with experience in Tender and Contract Administration) will be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of contracts administration using PSSCOC and public sector governance
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations on building standards, including conservation/monumental buildings, would be preferred
  • Efficient, organised, highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Good coordination skill, meticulous and attentive to details
  • Strong communication and writing skills
