Job Description

Join our supportive and high performing team as a Manager in MAM Real Assets Singapore team.

You will be an integral member of the Real Assets Asia team with exposure across the full life-cycle of investments covering various Asian markets; primarily supporting the asset management of portfolio businesses, refinancings and exits, but also working on investment opportunities and the sourcing of new investment opportunities. Here you will work with senior management both within MAM as well as at portfolio companies to identify and pursue transaction opportunities and support the execution of strategic value creation initiatives.

Operating as a key part of the investment and asset management team, you will work closely with colleagues and external advisors in sourcing, screening, assessing and negotiating of transactions. You will be responsible for the development and management of financial models, performing valuations and due diligence, and also engaging in day-to-day liaison with the management of the portfolio companies and third-party advisors. You will prepare investment papers for approval by the investment committee to ensure they make successful investment and asset management decisions in line with the investment strategy of our managed funds.

Key responsibilities include: * Build and run detailed financial models and associated analysis, for potential acquisitions as well as existing investments;

• As part of asset management of existing investments, develop strategic direction and business plans, monitor financial and operational performance, and identify potential improvements;
• Conduct desktop research on potential acquisitions and sector themes;
• Work with senior investment professionals to pursue potential acquisitions, assist with due diligence and other analysis;
• Preparing investment approval documents and presenting to investment committee;
• Liaising with key counterparties including portfolio companies, advisers, lenders and corporate representatives;
• Staying abreast of key market trends and developments across asset classes, including monitoring the activities and performance of competitor companies.

To be successful in this position, you will bring at least 5 years\' experience in infrastructure investment management by working with an infrastructure fund, private equity or investment bank.

You will hold a relevant degree, involving high numeracy skills, and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English as well as Mandarin. You will be a highly motivated, proactive and resilient individual who can demonstrate sound business judgement and possess strong interpersonal skills, that will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Flexible, entrepreneurial and innovative, you will have the credibility and professional polish to represent the infrastructure business of Macquarie both internally and externally at the most senior levels. On an upward career-track, you will have the ability to progress within this highly meritocratic organization.

Last but not least, knowledge of Asia region and assets would be highly advantageous, in particular Greater China.
