As a member of the Lineage team, you are a critical link in the food supply chain.The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 2,500 team members.The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all employees. They will identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate them. The Safety Manager will work collaboratively with various departments to promote safety awareness, conduct training sessions, and enforce compliance with safety regulations.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist and conduct audits on safety aspects to ensure all staff are compliant with the Safety SOPs.
• Conduct New Staff Orientation on Workplace Health and Safety Policy and refresher training for all staff on a yearly basis.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with regulations.
• Identify potential workplace hazards through regular inspections, risk assessments, and analysis of incidents or near-misses.
• Conduct safety training sessions for employees, supervisors, and management to raise awareness and ensure understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or safety concerns, and prepare detailed reports outlining findings, root causes, and recommendations for preventive measures.
• Responsible for managing all workplace incidents and return to work programmes.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and provide guidance during emergencies to ensure a prompt and organized response.
• Communicate safety-related information, updates, and best practices to all levels of the organisation through various channels.
• Lead and plan for internal the audit for the Biz Safe Level 3 on a yearly basis.
• Update and review all the Risk Assessments in the Biz Safe Program with the assistance from the Workplace Safety Officer for all the 3 warehouses.
• Submission of monthly workplace safety minutes of meeting to supervisor.
• Ensure that Transport Management Plan are implemented and audited to ensure compliant.

To be successful, you will have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Safety & Health as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer registered with Ministry of Manpower and Fire Safety Manager registered with SCDF.
• Possess a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Efficient and strong analytical skills, and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor co-workers of all levels.
• Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures.
