Responsibilities

• Influence, participate and design the overall solution architecture to meet current and future business needs
• Assist with the creation of the overall architecture blueprints and design patterns to guide development and project teams
• Conduct technical product evaluation and selection
• Align technical architecture and roadmap for the group
• Ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise\'s future-state architecture vision.
• Set technical standards and monitor compliance to same
• Evangelize standardization and architecture practices
• Conduct technical sessions to establish agreement on development approach
• Partner with key stakeholders and proactively consult on projects regarding Architecture concerns and direction
• Support design of application architecture components, by defining architecture and design, and documentation of architecture relevant system or software changes or enhancements to all assigned systems.
• Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements
• Lead the analysis of complex production support issues that are related to Architecture
• Assess new technologies and develop solutions appropriate to business requirements for Architecture, and that leverage architecture standards

Requirements

• Degree in Business and IT with professional certification in IT project management and enterprise architecture
• 3 to 5 years of design/implementation/consulting experience in application development role
• 3 years hands-on experience as a technical lead and system architect role
• Solid software development background
• Experience with cloud architecture on Azure (preferred) / AWS
• Solid understanding of Server-side, .Net and/or Java development, Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), web services, microservices, and digital product lifecycle management
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying large, scalable production applications on cloud/PaaS platforms and Containers, such as AWS, Azure, and OpenShift
• Exposure to middleware and different messaging / API management technologies
• Working knowledge of DevOps software development tools and methodologies
