Manager / Senior Manager, Strategic Investments

Job Description


We are currently working with a global Hospitality developer and operator with strong expansion growth strategy regionally to bring in a talented Strategic Investments Senior Manager / Manager who will play an instrumental role in expanding the organizations\' portfolio through strategic Mergers and Acquisitions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a strategic review of current businesses, evaluate business cases, and manage corporate actions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with the team to proactively monitor and manage the company\'s investment portfolio to meet strategic objectives and achieve commercial returns.
- Assist the deal team in transaction activities, including strategy review, transaction structuring, feasibility studies, pricing, due diligence, negotiation of key terms with counterparties, legal documentation review, financing, regulatory and internal approvals.
- Coordinate with external consultants and internal departments to support transaction activities and maximize value, optimize exit options, manage legal positions and obligations, and ensure tax efficiencies.
- Perform company research and valuation, gather financial data, develop financial models, analyze financial and operational performance, and prepare presentation materials for senior management and the board.
- Provide timely updates on capital market developments (M&A, IPO) in the relevant industry.
- Ensure regular corporate reporting of strategic and investment activities by coordinating with various investment teams within the company and updating senior management and the board in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the digital and data team to improve efficiency in regular corporate investment/divestment reporting through automation of certain processes/workflows and dashboard updates.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, including strategic analysis and coordination of corporate initiatives.

Key Requirements:
- A degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Preferably, 6-8 years of prior experience in REITs transactions, M&A, corporate transactions, and/or corporate finance related work.
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets, direct real estate, and REIT transactions.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to independently develop and manage complex financial models.
- Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professionally mature enough to handle interactions with senior management.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Adaptable to changing circumstances and tight timelines.
