What the role is:Manager (Space Management - Facilities Management) (1-year contract)You will be part of a team, which oversees and runs the facilities management operations of assigned MPA properties to implement, execute effective facilities management\'s operating procedures and strategies to continuously improve the efficiency of operations, return of investments and customer experience for MPA\'s stakeholders, through digitalisation and decarbonisation.Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:\xc2\xb7 Oversee the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management in compliance with relevant regulations and/or by-laws.\xc2\xb7 Establish KPIs to ensure that the maintenance of MPA\'s properties, including but not limited to structures, premises and facilities are up to date with established standards and stakeholders\' expectations.\xc2\xb7 If need be, work with consultants/vendors/contractors to oversee office interior decoration, retrofitting or construction works, infrastructure development work, for workplace occupancy and beyond including space management requirements.\xc2\xb7 Plan and work out maintenance schedules, KPIs, SLAs for M&E equipment, electrical boards, pest control, landscaping, cleaning services, etc. and ensure that the contractors perform and deliver services as stipulated in the service contracts.\xc2\xb7 Participate in collaborative space planning efforts with internal resources and user groups. Prepare and monitor annual property budget and other related costs in workplace and facility planning, including existing properties and new built.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to integrate sustainability initiatives in facilities management strategies of MPA to explore harvesting of green and renewable energy so as to reap greater energy efficiency, amongst other initiatives.\xc2\xb7 Work with Finance and Procurement teams for budgeting, tendering, awarding and managing of the contracts.\xc2\xb7 Work with Sustainability Office to provide initiatives and to support the development and implementation of Workplace environmental, safe and health policies, procedures and manual.\xc2\xb7 Perform risk analysis assessments and surveys including, to identify potential areas of hazards and improvements for all properties under MPA\'s management.\xc2\xb7 Contribute and implement effectively as a member of the Workplace Safety and Health and Sustainability Committee.\xc2\xb7 Be an active participant in MPA\'s digitalisation and transformation process.\xc2\xb7 Given the work nature, you should be contactable via mobile devices for after-hours contact for facilities emergencies.About Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore:"The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996, with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore\'s strategic maritime interests.
