  • You will be part of the Ascott Sustainability team and be situated at HQ in Singapore. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Sustainability; and will be involved in the design and implementation of the global strategy to implement Ascott\xe2\x80\x99s environment, social and governance (ESG) goals.
  • The Sustainability team is a fast-paced and outcome driven department with evolving and growing areas of focus. The role will require flexibility to adapt to the different needs of the business.
  • To effectively carry out their work, the candidate will need to build working relationships with colleagues across departments and geographies and be comfortable switching frequently between different working culture environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to help drive \xe2\x80\x9cAscott CARES\xe2\x80\x9d, Ascott\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability framework, and its 2030 commitments.
  • Plan and execute group-wide initiatives to drive key areas such as community impact, responsible sourcing, waste management, etc.
  • Identify and work with external stakeholders to explore and build partnerships and collaborations.
  • Work with service providers to identify, pilot, assess, implement, and scale up sustainability solutions.
  • Prepare the annual global sustainability report in line with the latest international standards and external assurance.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the management of Ascott Environment, Health and Safety Management System, and manage the cloud- based data management system to ensure the accuracy of reporting of relevant property and portfolio sustainability data.
  • Monitor and report on emerging global ESG trends and regulation directions to feed into Ascott\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability strategies to advance in areas such as Net Zero and Scope 3 reporting.
  • Understand and analyse global benchmarks such as Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business or Real Estate or Environmental Science/Management with at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, preferably related to sustainability management.
  • Experience and passion for sustainability and its integration in business.
  • Knowledge of sustainability related frameworks and benchmarks such as GRI, TCFD, ISSB, would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, advocacy, communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
  • Energetic, good organisational skills, able to work independently as well as a team player, in a fast-paced environment.
