What the role is
You will be part of the team that champions infrastructure planning and management for Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) and Cruise. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders (including government agencies and private entities) to: 1. Optimise and future-proof our existing MICE and Cruise infrastructure; and 2. Envision long-term plans, coordinate, and drive the implementation of future MICE and Cruise infrastructure developments.
What you will be working on
1. Envision long-term plans for future MICE and Cruise infrastructure to ensure Singapore’s MICE and Cruise industries remain competitive and relevant and Singapore maintains our position as a leading homeport for Cruise a) To ascertain and envision the future infrastructural needs of the MICE and Cruise industry, including the review of long-term projections. b) To partner government agencies and private sector stakeholders to assess the developmental and operating models for future Cruise infrastructure, and to implement the preferred model. c) To engage public and private stakeholders to assess the developmental and operating models for future MICE infrastructure, through consultation exercises (local and overseas), feasibility studies, workshops etc. 2. Optimise and future-proof the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS). a) To oversee the asset and operator management for MBCCS. This includes monitoring the operator’s performance and fulfilment of obligations, assessment and approval of ad hoc requests, and overseeing of facility, contract, and lease-related matters. b) To work closely with the terminal operator to ensure the proper upkeep of the terminal, to future-proof the terminal for long-term use, and to continually explore ways to enhance the overall visitor experience.
