Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Transaction Risk Management - Monitoring Team.Principal ResponsibilitiesThe Transaction Risk Management job category is responsible for the effective identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring and mitigation of existing transaction risk for Commercial clients. This job ensures limits are underwritten within authorities and campaigns in motioning debt are prioritised.This job category will carry out some or all of the following activities:

• Assisting in underwriting of new and renewal credit opportunities including developing appropriate recommendation for wholesale credit and market risk
• Monitoring and management of Structured Trade finance facilities, including Commodities Trade Finance per approved credit conditions, global operating procedures and product guidelines
• Establishing best practice policies and processes to facilitate transaction monitoring on end to end basis
• Assist in assessment of Financial and non Financial risks of facilities offered to Commodity clients and offering risk mitigants to manage such risks
• Monitor and reporting of portfolio risk management of GTS products, including Core Trade and Structured Trade Finance, by analytical tools
• Conduct identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring, reporting and mitigation of existing transaction risk for all GTS products
• Monitor account receivables, aging analysis for instant credit control; identify red flags in sellerxe2x80x99s overpaid and/or buyer overdues
• Carry out data collection, extraction and analysis activity from various data sources/tools to produce MIS report/dashboard to local, regional and global stakeholders

Requirements

• Previous experience in Commodity Finance and Core Trade, In particular, Commodity Trade Finance facility risk assessments, collateral management and mark-to-market etc will be an advantage
• Fair understanding of trade finance products i.e. core trade, structured, specialised as well as bespoke including the risk associated with these products
• Knowledge of credit risks, mitigants and fair level of understanding of clients and counterparties including market best practices and processes
• Strong attentiveness to detail, with ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong Communication, interpersonal and organization skills
• Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts etc), MS Word and MS Power Point and the use of market platforms like Bloomberg
