Job Description

Job Purpose

• Responsible for Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) system & matters related to compliance with relevant Acts, rules, regulations and ISO standards (ESH) for Business Unit operation including projects and maintaining required documentation
• Promote awareness and implement good practice work method for compliance with ESH system
• Liaise and follow up with internal and external parties related to EHS system matters

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with government health, safety and environmental regulations, facilitating of routine improvement and awareness on safety issue
• Support bidding or tendering on revenue projects, e.g. review and preparation of submission on compliance with ESH system requirements etc.
• Working closely with Corporate Safety & Security department, for policy review and updates in EHS system and be a contact point for external agencies when needed
• Monitor the overall environment, safety and health of the workplace by conducting regular inspections at work sites for revenue projects
• Compiles all relevant reports and records, and update monthly safety reports, conduct briefing and training to employees when necessary
• Reviewing, Implementing and Managing the Workplace\'s Safety Management System in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health Act for the BU and revenue projects
• Timely communication and updates to site leadership of new and significant developments and implementation action plans progress status, conduct incident investigation and track the corrective actions as required
• Assist in conducting all workplace near miss, reportable incidents and implement the investigation recommendation
• Act as a MR for Business units and help in developing, implementing and follow up on ISO Management system audits and compliance (ISO 9001/14001/45001/22301 internal auditor preferred)
• Assist in develop course materials and conduct safety training when required
• Support BU other safety related matters e.g. Fire safety, Emergency evacuation etc.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Degree in Engineering or Degree in Environmental Occupational Safety and Health with at least 5 years of work experience in rail transit projects preferred
• A registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower, Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with Ministry of Environment and have good knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety & Health Act and relevant rules & regulations
• Working experience in implementing of EHS system within an organisation
• Fire safety Manager register with Singapore Civil Defense Force

Skills

• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with good working knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of potential high-risk activities and related control measures, e.g, Work at height, Confined Space, Lifting, Hot work and related activities
