About the Department

The Compliance function is a strategic partner and a trusted business enabler to the Board and senior management. It is our responsibility to ensure that the Group continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today\'s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape. To do that, we work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and to assess regulatory risks. This collaboration also includes developing practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements as well as actively shaping and promoting stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Transformation and Projects in driving Group Compliance transformation in line with the Compliance Strategy and industry / organisational changes
  • Lead / participate in enterprise-wide projects to drive compliance initiatives and support new business initiatives
  • Engage in industry compliance projects (including public-private partnerships) and enable UOB to shape / contribute to the new industry initiatives
  • Drive initiatives to promote employee engagement and compliance culture
  • Expand and administer compliance development programs to strengthen compliance competencies
  • Prepare compliance reports to Board and senior management
Job Requirements
  • At least 4 - 6 years of relevant working experience in the banking / financial services industry.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Dynamic individual with growth mindset
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects with numerous stakeholders, as well as deliver results within tight timelines.
