At ESSEC Business School Asia Pacific, we believe career services is integral to prepare students for the working world. We are looking for an experienced Career Services personnel to partner with students, plan, organize, and implement career services initiatives that prepare students to be ready for global opportunities upon graduation. Our ideal candidate will tailor career services programs to help Master Programs students develop professionally. He/she should be passionate about developing students\' career potential, with a desire to make real connections with all relevant stakeholders. Above all, the goal is to enhance the student's employability by cultivating a career discovery experience that is organized, progressive and meaningful.

The candidate is required to:

Develop and implement a strategic and comprehensive plan in close collaboration with the Head of Career Services, Alumni and Corporate Relations, and the Academic Director of the programs

Provide direction, programming, and goals that strategically integrate all aspects of career planning, exploration, learning & development, internships and job placement

Develop professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals

Establish strong rapport with employers and serves as a single point of contact for industry partners and prospective employers to create opportunities for students

Responsibilities:

Liaise closely with Internal and External stakeholders ensuring timely, concise communication on all activities of related to Master Programs students

Collaborate with Academic Directors, Faculty and the Academic Affairs team to ensure alignment of goals and objectives related to Career Services activities for students

Initiate, maintain and develop strong partnerships with organisations that can provide internships and full- and part-time positions for students.

Identify and organize training workshops for students to develop skills enabling their career readiness and being equipped to conduct effective job search and networking

Plan and implement events to facilitate student interactions with potential employers, alumni and industry professionals.

Conduct targeted outreach to potential industry partners for assigned Master Programs

Partner with Marketing department to be involved in recruitment activities as a Career Advisor for Master Programs

Perform administrative duties related to Master Programs. Duties include: Publicise internship/job opportunities to students, validating internships, keeping records and creating entries of professional contacts in ESSEC's database, logistical tasks such as coordination of room bookings, managing the reimbursements and expenses claims, sourcing of trainers/vendors, etc.

Career Counselling and Coaching - Master Programs Students

Provide career counselling, resume review, interview preparation, job search strategies, networking strategies and industry insights to students seeking internship opportunities or permanent employment

Events Management

Manage operations and logistics for at least two major career events per year (networking event or career fair)

Student Overseas Study Trips

Advise, coordinate and participate in annual overseas student study trips for Master programs

Position Requirements / People Specifications:

Good grasp of local and global hiring trends, with the ability to research and scan the market for untapped opportunities

Proficient in handling and managing communication effectively with different stakeholders in a global work environment

Excellent interpersonal skills with good command of Spoken and Written English language

Self-motivated with a passion to help students achieve career success

Possess a growth mindset, has the agility to be adaptable and resilient

Proactive, resourceful and collaborative

Detailed-oriented, hands-on to execute tasks well and process driven with excellent time-management skill

Proficient in MS Suite (Words, Excel, Powerpoint)

Qualifications:

Possess at least a Bachelor's degree qualification from a recognised University

Proven work experience of between 5 to 8 years in career coaching / counselling / career services / graduate or campus recruitment / human resources / executive search / learning and development (a background in Banking, Financial Services, Luxury or Consulting sectors will be advantageous)

Additional coaching certification(s) would be a plus (e.g. ICF Certified Coach, GCDF)

Working Environment and Pace:

Working environment: Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a hybrid work environment

Terms of Employment:

Working days are from Mondays to Fridays

Working timings: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm or 10am to 7pm

Occasionally, it may be necessary to work beyond the prescribed normal working hours due to the nature of work and the level of responsibilities.
