[What the role is]

The National Council of Social Service is the co-ordinating body for more than 400 social service organisations in Singapore. The Council provides leadership and direction in social services, enhances the capabilities of social service organisations, and promotes strategic partnerships across the people, public and private sectors.

The Workplace Development team, alongside other critical functions within CDCG, plays a vital role in addressing how NCSS as an organisation functions, transforms and responds to external trends.

Workplace Innovation is a unit within Workplace Development that aims to transform how NCSS Thinks and Works \xe2\x80\x93 towards being people-centered, data-driven and innovative. The role will also involve aligning work internally and with MSF, our parent ministry.

[What you will be working on]

We are looking for an outgoing and passionate individual to be part of the team that works

on developing the capability, readiness and culture of the organisation to derive data-

informed insights via data analytics, visualisation and governance efforts, as well as

adoption of innovative ways of working via process improvement, automation and use of

design thinking.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Business Engagement and Partnership Development

  • a. Build relationships with NCSS business units (BUs) and act as initial point of triage for units with interest in WI initiatives.
  • b. Service initial business enquiries, assess BU\xe2\x80\x99s data and innovation needs followed by providing the right information or channelling to right resources to facilitate BU\xe2\x80\x99s objective.
  • c. Regular engagement with warm leads and develop opportunities for follow-ups to enable adoption of initiatives lead by WI.
2. Change Stewardship and Management
  • a. Developing and implementing change management strategies to support the adoption of WI initiatives.
  • b. Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment of change initiatives with organisational goals and objectives.
  • c. Facilitate communication and understanding of WI initiatives across all levels of the organisation.
  • d. Monitor and evaluate the impact of change initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful implementation.
3. Capability and Culture Building
  • a. Developing and implementing strategies to engender greater participation, interest and engagement in data and innovation movement in NCSS.
  • b. Curation of resources and mechanisms for engagement and raising of awareness of WI initiatives. .
  • c. Grow and nurture NCSS data and innovation community of practice(s).
  • d. Partner NCSS Human Resource unit in implementation of data and innovation training roadmap.
Any other matters as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Appreciation for the possibilities of data analytics and innovation
  • Familiar with graphic creation tools for engagement and communication (i.e., Canva) would be a plus
  • Prior knowledge and experience in driving organisation transformation will be an advantage.
Experience:

At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, including involvement in projects relating to transformation, innovation, change management, and development of culture to translate vision to reality preferred.

Fresh graduates with interest and aptitude in the areas listed will also be considered.
