As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of Project Transfer team to be responsible for process development, validation, and improvement. You are responsible for the support of manufacturing operations, maintenance or improvement of processes and operations

A Day in the Life

• To lead and/or to participate in process development, qualification and validation, and training activities for product or technology transfers
• To analyze process data and propose recommendation for improvement
• To participate in cost reduction initiatives
• To develop, update and revise manufacturing documentation in compliance to standards, Medtronic internal policies and regulations established by regulatory agencies
• To identify, develop and provide adequate tooling and equipment to ease device manufacturability
• Reviews and revises proposals for new product specifications or current specification modifications established by design documentation
• To initiate, evaluate, approve and implement Engineering Change Order (ECR/ECO)
• To analyze and determine conformance of materials and assemblies
• To train production personnel, and other engineers/technicians on processes
• Monitors and improves goals and metrices established for company and in area of responsibilities
• Ensures compliance with company policies, programs, procedures regarding government and regulatory agencies regulations (e.g. ISO, FDA, OSHA). Ensures timely response to audit findings
• Works with all functional teams to apply principles, concepts and tools for projects and initiatives
• To lead conversation and provide technical support to production personnel and manufacturing lines
• To work on ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by direct manager

Your Profile

• Degree holder in Engineering/relevant discipline or Diploma with the relevant and equivalent skill set and experience
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience in process development, validation and improvement
• Knowledge and practical experience in the application of statistical methods and Design of Experiment
• Experience in Lean methodology and continuous improvement programs
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in healthcare or medical products will be an added advantage
