Date Posted: 2023-04-03 Country: Singapore Location: 39 Changi North Crescent, Singapore Position Role Type: Unspecified Role Overview The Singapore Innovation Hub seeks a highly motivated Manufacturing System Engineer to transform Brownfield Factory into Smart Factory. In this role, the candidate will lead, manage, specification, develop, and program various digital manufacturing tools and applications to interact with the various equipment on different processes to develop world-class manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Technical project planning and execution on development projects for Singapore Plant operation.
• Drives manufacturing execution through integration of IT systems and manufacturing equipment (including automation, robotics, production process equipment, continuous improvement and lean) for improvements in product quality, machine availability and manufacturing costs.
• Assure automation and machine tool data connectivity into Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) and establish operating systems for utilisation.
• Define and implement data collection, analysis, and reporting strategies in our facilities to support Industry 4.0 initiatives. (next-generation solutions)
• Train and support deployment of applications, implement change and gain acceptance of new or revised processes and implementation procedures. (next-generation solutions)
• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences and processes in fabricating parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Establish a manufacturing system to determine day to manufacturing, define time standards, and recommend system and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
• Brainstorm and apply any new technology that creates value for the business.

The successful candidate will be readily available to work across multiple business units and professional functions through strong project management and computer skills. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics/Industrial System Engineering
• More than 2-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience in the Discrete/Process Manufacturing Environment
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and disciplines
• Experience in software specialising in Siemens PLM Products (TeamCentre, NX, Tecnomatix Process Simulate, Plant Simulation) will be advantageous.
• Experience in software specialising in Manufacturing Execution Systems (Solumina or SIMTIC IT MES) will be advantageous.
• Experience in using Visual Studio, Database and Embedded systems Programming is an added advantage.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technology quickly.
• Technically motivated to solve problems, innovate and deliver on time to stakeholders.
• Advanced in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, SharePoint)
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
