Job Description

Responsibilities:
\xe2\x80\x93 Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines, auxiliary engines, steering systems, and other components.
\xe2\x80\x93 Perform repairs on inboard and outboard engines, including fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
\xe2\x80\x93 Conduct routine maintenance to ensure all shipboard systems are operating effectively.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ensure the ship and engine room are kept clean when onboard.
\xe2\x80\x93 Provide detailed reports on work completed and explain repairs and services to customers.Safety and Compliance:
\xe2\x80\x93 Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ensure adherence to environmental regulations related to marine service and repairs.Documentation and Reporting:
\xe2\x80\x93 Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time, parts used, and labor.
\xe2\x80\x93 Use service management software to log and track repairs and maintenance tasks.Team Collaboration:
\xe2\x80\x93 Collaborate with other technicians and service team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
\xe2\x80\x93 Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
\xe2\x80\x93 Perform any other assigned duties.Job Requirements:
\xe2\x80\x93 Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in marine mechanics or related field preferred.
\xe2\x80\x93 Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
\xe2\x80\x93 Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
\xe2\x80\x93 Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine service equipment.
\xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of marine engines, auxiliary engines, and cargo pumps.
\xe2\x80\x93 Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
\xe2\x80\x93 Capability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
