The Role


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Superintendent to join our team on an 6-month fixed-term basis in Loyang Crescent, Singapore.




The successful candidate will be responsible for planning offshore marine operations for rig moves involving semi-submersible and jack-up units, as well as providing marine consultancy and assurance services on behalf of clients. They will also represent InterMoor during offshore operations, serving as the Marine Representative for rig moves and other marine activities. Additionally, the role includes supporting projects and tenders by evaluating marine spreads and ensuring their suitability for executing T&I operations.




Duties/Responsibilities


- Act as the main point of contact and contract holder for assigned clients, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.


- Plan and manage offshore marine operations, including rig moves for semi-submersible and jack-up units


- Prepare project documentation such as quotations, procedures, and risk assessments in line with industry standards and client requirements


- Attend rig move meetings, provide operational briefings, and oversee execution as Marine Representative or Towmaster when required


- Support tenders and projects by evaluating marine spreads, assessing vessel suitability, and identifying operational risks


- Conduct vessel inspections, marine audits, and incident investigations when required


- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client standards, and international maritime regulations


- Promote safety and environmental best practices in all operations




Requirements


The Marine Superintendent is required to have job knowledge of and experience in:


- Working in the role as Marine Representative during rig moves of semi-submersibles or jack-ups and offshore vessel operations


- Knowledge of safety management systems, contingency manuals and health, safety and environmental in force onboard the mobile offshore units or vessels


- Proficient with mooring systems and rig move procedures


- Courses, as per training matrix


- The Marine Superintendent shall hold following certifications:


o Certificate of competency as Master Mariner or Chief Officer unlimited certificate of competency or suitably qualified as OIM or Barge Engineer with a history of rig moving


o Offshore survival certificate for working in the area concerned


o Medical certificate for working in the area concerned


o Applicable vaccination as required for the area concerned




The Marine Superintendent, who represents InterMoor, is responsible for maintaining professional attitude towards clients and ensures that good seamanship and best practices prevails throughout the operations.
