Job Description


The Marketing & Communication Director will be the guardian of the Maison image in Taiwan and is responsible for the implementation of the Marketing & Communication international strategy to develop Maison turnover on all product categories. He/She will drive communication investments and local PR strategy based on customers\' demands and behaviors in order to optimize the Maison reputation and exclusivity.

The Opportunity

The Talent
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years\' experience in marketing communication or a related post where the same set of marketing and leadership skills have been used.
  • Experience in Luxury Retail industry is a must.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates. Proficiency in French is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills coupled with the composure required to thrive under pressure.
  • A successful track record in senior marketing roles and experience in the industry.
  • Strong motivational skills to drive the team for self-motivation in challenging times.
  • Experience with PR Marketing and Visual Merchandising will be preferred.
  • An eye for innovation and the willingness to take the initiative.
  • Strong knowledge in using data software such as CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness for relocation to Taiwan.
The Job
  • Identify key customers trends and defines local Marketing and Communication strategy in line with international guidelines ensuring the specific adaptation to local context and challenges.
  • Leverage knowledge of the business to make informed decisions on budget, pricing and sales efficiency.
  • Identify and prioritize creations that drive customer and network growth opportunities.
  • Translate centrally developed brand concepts for local execution when relevant
  • Accountable for local product strategy and business results (LE, BU) per products and networks.
  • Defines launch packs and specific local actions to support sales staff and develop turnover.
  • Coordinate the yearly strategic plan for all departments and produce the strategic plan for the Marcom part.
  • In charge of directing and overseeing Communications strategies across all media
  • Develop and implement communications plans that build awareness and drive demand for the Maison\'s creations
  • Maintain strong relationships with key press and identify opportunities for high visibility brand and creations stories in partnership with Central
  • Implement worldwide boutiques animation in internal displays and external windows across both networks (retail and wholesale)
  • Propose, validate and develop local animation to support marketing and communication local campaigns.
  • Develop and execute qualitative and quantitative market research levering local and Central resources
  • Track trends, analyzing market research & studies, making recommendations and developing comprehensive strategic briefs based on data
  • Understand mind set of consumer and completion in order for the Maison to keep the competitive advantage
  • Produces regular reports for management decision, providing specific recommendations and regular updates on competitor benchmarking.
  • Develop both long term and short term PR strategy in line with the brand business goals.
  • Lead the interpretation from international headquarters guideline to Taiwan strategy.
  • Work with Taiwan Marketing and commercial team to develop PR initiatives and campaigns.
  • Drive the implementation of PR strategy, event marketing and management, to ensure objectives are adhered to and all tactical plans are implemented.
  • Crisis management -develop and implement PR contingency strategies/plans as appropriate. Draft statements for all potential issues.
  • Oversee the development and management of PR tools, such as evaluating and selecting agencies, press release materials, translation of material from headquarter and etc.
  • Measure the impact of the brand\'s media programs with external evaluation agency.
  • Develop external relationships with brand\'s target media, celebrities, their agents, potential partner of campaign, etc.
  • Define annual objectives for team members and manage team performance.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to build talents through coaching, and experience planning
  • Forecast budget accordingly on annual business target and strategy as appropriate.
  • Manage budget ensuring activities are kept within budget of fiscal year.
