Hatch is established by Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s Home Team Science and Technology (HTX) as an innovation hub for public safety and security. It was launched on 30 May 2023 by Minister K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, Singapore.

HTX is the world\xe2\x80\x99s first Science and Technology agency that integrates a diverse range of scientific and engineering capabilities to innovate and deliver transformative and operationally ready solutions for homeland security. HTX is a statutory board of MHA and integral to the Home Team departments such as SPF, ISD, SCDF, ICA, SPS, CNB, HTA.



You will be part of Knovel\xe2\x80\x99s team, to support the programs we are delivering at Hatch (thehatchx.com), Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s first innovation hub for public safety and security, by Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX).

Responsibilities

• Join discussions with officers across the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)\xe2\x80\x99s Home Team, to elicit and refine problem statements, and translate them into scouting requirements for our global partners
• Conduct extensive research (including open-source research from the internet, journals, publications, etc) to identify market trends and emerging technologies aligned to the identified trend
• Identify and source cutting-edge technologies or startups on an ongoing basis
• Support marketing and PR campaigns across all channels to engage internal stakeholders and key partners in the ecosystem
• Provide general support at the Centre, such as marketing efforts of programs, community/outreach events, etc.

Who we are looking for

• Students currently pursuing a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business / marketing / design / communications / public safety related disciplines
• Passionate and curious about technology, startups and innovation
• Energetic, independent and have willingness to learn
• Team player, who is willing to go the extra mile
• Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Attention to detail with good organizational skills
• Bonus skills: community/program management, marketing, design

Commitment:

• Full-time (paid leave will be given for official school activities)
• Preference for long term internship (4-12 months)
