Service Market Logistics (SML) is an organization of approximately 3,700 employees globally in more than 40 locations. Distribution Centre (DC) Singapore manages Service Market Business supporting all Volvo Group business in the Region including Volvo CE, Volvo Group Trucks, Volvo Bus and Volvo Penta. The primary interface with these entities is through Sales and Marketing\'s Aftermarket Commercial function.

THE POSITION - Material Analyst, DC Singapore
You will be a member of our Supply Planning & DIM team that is responsible for a wide span of activities from Dealer Inventory Management, material refill and material analysis. We aim to provide excellent availability level to at our dealers to serve the end-customers, while keeping a good level of cost and capital tied up.

YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Material / Inventory Analyst

  • You will be responsible for coordination of the parts supply chain from Central Distribution Centers all the way to customer order allocation: analysis, activities follow-up
  • You will be responsible to regularly coordinate between site operation and sales team to secure efficient information flow and goods flow
  • You will be responsible for KPI analysis (Availability, Back order Recovery), and to identify and drive activities to improve the KPI, initiate corrective or improvement actions involving x-functional teams
  • You will be responsible for inventory analysis (obsolescence and scrapping activities follow up), and drive all types of activities for inventory optimization
  • You will be responsible for campaign and other special demand coordination and preparation
  • You will be involved in \xe2\x80\x9cEnd to End\xe2\x80\x9d supply chain optimization from suppliers to dealer inventory management to support our end customers success
  • You will be continuously working on improvements and automations on low value adding tasks
Supply Planning
  • Perform weekly supply planning from suppliers (internal/external) to Singapore regional warehouse as well as back order recovery, initiate root cause analysis and improvement actions
  • Work cross functionally with different stakeholders to secure most efficient goods flow supported by timely information exchanged with sales team
Support Business Objectives, Lean Processes & Continuous Improvement
  • You will be responsible for the measurements within your area, such as updating and analyzing reasons where we do not meet targets and propose improvements
  • You will analyze and report dealer performance, improving intelligence and supporting data to drive solutions towards a \xe2\x80\x9clean\xe2\x80\x9d process
  • You will support the team and perform cross-functional activities in our operation
  • You will be able to support some regional activities on ad-hoc basis
  • You will not only do the job but also continuously improve the way of doing it individually as well as together with the team and manager
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or having relevant working experience.
  • Holistic view on the end-to-end supply networks
  • Strong cross-functional team player and respect for individual
  • Strong Analytical skills and proficiency in digitalization & automation tools (PowerBI, PowerAutomate etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, people relationship, teamwork and how to logically and convincingly present information for acceptance.
  • Problem Solving/Decision Making: Taking a well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles or resistance. Ability to decide on ownership/ responsibility of tasks.
  • Flow thinking mindset (VPS/ Lean concepts)
  • High level of responsibility, ability to work independently and escalate issues effectively
