Job Description

Reporting to Assistant Manager, Production, this position will provide support the manufacturing process of the production plant by ensuring raw materials and other auxiliary materials are secured timely according to production plan. The incumbent will also participate in continuous improvement projects to improve the plant's competitiveness.Responsibilities Plan consumption plan for raw and auxiliary materials according to production plan Monitor inventory movement, orders and receipt of raw and auxiliary materials Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on raw and auxiliary materials consumption and delivery Review and update process operation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain proper documentation control of records and participate in both internal and external audits Support the conduct of operation training for raw materials operation Identify potential unsafe risks and/or activities in the plant area Ensure Risk Assessment and SOPs related to charging of raw materials are updated according to requirements Conduct site patrol of raw materials charging operation and monitor daily work activities in the plant area Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as digitalization and Kaizen projects to improve work efficiency for the department and identify cost saving measures to optimize consumption of raw materials Handle other administrative duties as assignedRequirements Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience in petrochemicals or oil & gas industry Knowledge in HAZOP and Risk Assessment will be advantageous Self-driven, independent and resourceful Effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills Meticulous and attentive to details Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Able to perform overtime work if required Willing to work in Jurong Island
