Main activities / tasks ( Principal accountabilities ): * Involve and contribute in inventory control, material planning and cost control of Project. * Liaise with Engineering Design Engineers, Main activities / tasks ( Principal accountabilities ): Involve and contribute in inventory control, material planning and cost control of Project. Liaise with Engineering Design Engineers, Purchasing Officers and Production Departments on material requirements. Coordinate with suppliers on material and equipment delivery. Involve in the sourcing and purchasing of materials / equipment. Raise purchase requisition for bulk materials based on Material Take-off by Engineering Design Office. Monitor the progress of the material / equipment and ensure their timely delivery. Highlight any urgent items that need immediate attention. Check the material availability from surplus project materials before raising purchase requisitions. Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations. Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary. Participate in the preparation of Safe Work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures. Any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time. Requirements Minimum Diploma / Degree in Engineering preferred but equivalence in experience is acceptable. Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and numerical skills. Familiar with the marine products and equipment. Willing to work long hours on weekdays and weekends as and when required to meet project requirements. Resourceful with very high level of honesty and integrity. Must tactful, co-operative, dependable. Has initiative and hold information in the strictest confidence. High degree of alertness and attentive to details with a strong ability to work under pressure.
