Job Summary:

Provide technical support and advice to Manufacturing Technicians on new programs and/or ongoing program enhancements. Develop and conduct tests to enhance manufacturing processes, monitor and compile test data, perform problem-solving and provide technical support to resolve technical issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control
• Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC program, and Tool/Gauge plan with Siemens NX
• Resolve technical issues relating to internal and external customers' feedback
• Evaluate and initiate/acquire new equipment, process, machinery, and plant layouts to attain cost productivity, waste reduction, quality, and production modernization goals.
• Initiate continuous improvement activities to the existing manufacturing system and its related processes
• Assesses existing technologies and processes in the manufacturing to develop and implement advanced manufacturing method
• Participate actively in company-wide productivity and quality programs
• Play a supporting role in SMART Manufacturing technologies setup and industrialization to operations.
• Put up a justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX)
• Coach and guide junior engineer

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Minimum Education required (specific field or equivalent):
• Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Precision, Manufacturing, Automation, Aerospace)
• Minimum years of experience in the role:
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience

Preferred Skills (if any):

• Experience with Advanced Manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Strong understanding and hands-on with precision machining tools (CNC 5-Axis / lathe/milling etc.).
• Competent in Unigraphics and/or other CAD/CAM applications.
• Experience in Robotic handling and Offline Robot programming software (ROBOGUIDE, Robot Studio, etc.)
• Team player and able to work closely with other teams on cross-functional projects.
• Competent in MS office applications.
• Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal-related skills.
