Job Description
Direct Search Global is working with a fast-growing ship owner to fill a role of Mechanical & Piping Engineer to be based in their Singapore office. Are you an engineer with experience in both mechanical and piping drawings and operations?
:
- Evaluate and compare vessel tender requirement against the specification of newbuilds and existing vessels
- Define, review, communicate and manage works carried out by designers, class societies and flag statutory on engineering issues
- Close liaison with suppliers on equipment specification to meet with owner, class and client requirement
- Oversee works carried out by designated designers and shipyard, related to marine systems, deck machinery, piping systems and HVAC systems
- Ensure maximum performance and cost efficiency of vessel
- A relevant Engineering Degree
- At least 8 years of EPC exposure in newbuild/conversion of marine/offshore vessels
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering works for ship mechanical/piping and HVAC systems
- Good understanding to class requirement, IMO and flag regulations
