Overview of job

You will play a key role as a media planner with the regional Team. You will work together with other members of the regional Team to ensure delivery of performance driven campaigns across all channels.

  • Mentored by a fun, dynamic and growing team, with exposure to media planning and buying processes across other online channels by working with Mediacom specialist teams.
Measures of success – In three months:
  • Adopted best practices around client structure, channel wise understanding, media planning and exposure to tech partners.
  • Become familiar with Mediacom’s performance proposition and processes (optimisation, reporting and billing)
  • Demonstrate mastery of all platforms and systems which power media planning
  • Receive great feedback from co-workers and key client contacts as a result of strong communication both internally and externally

In six months:
  • Been confidently running the client account independently, meeting all KPIs, and be assuming client relationship management
  • Become a trusted advisor through strong justification of recommendations, strong timeline management and delivering outcomes
  • Drive the testing of new betas, platforms and other innovations for our clients

In 12 months:
  • Taken on more client facing responsibility and started to get involved in weekly WIP meetings, attempting to educate and share new features and services
  • Assist the team in research, defining strategy to preparing presentation material
  • Be able to analyse and provide insights per channel
Responsibilities of the role:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agency partners and media partners
  • Develop and present media plans/ documents incorporating goals, recommendations, rationale, ideas and implementation, planning costs and budget splits.
  • Manage and deliver to the day-to-day needs of the accounts.
  • Develop and deliver necessary reports like media flowchart updates, budget updates, contact reports, competitive, post-campaign reports, in a timely manner.
  • Manage negotiation, evaluation and recommendation of media proposals.
  • Work with the finance department to ensure all finance processes are adhered to and relevant data is up dated.
What you will need:
  • Hands on experience on prevalent digital platforms – Meta + Google + DSP
  • Previous experience with digital media planning and activation from budgeting to channel recommendations
  • Keen interest in media data and analytics and the ability to extract key insights from campaign data
  • Keeps up-to-date with industry changes and latest practices and procedures
  • Builds meaningful relationships with team members and content syndication publishers
  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • A good work ethic, problem solving and proficient time management skills
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft office software
  • Comfortable using Microsoft excel and manipulating dashboards – an analytical mind that is creative as well as data-driven to identify trends/patterns and insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our client & their business
  • Bachelor’s degree required: concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred
