About the role:
Reporting into the Senior Manager Medical Education APAC, the Program Manager is responsible for creating meaningful programs for the courses related to practicing surgeons, nurses, residents, fellows, or other related Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) relative to the key focus areas for the region.
This role will implement educational pathways and adapt the global content available to the region, in collaboration with course faculty and will make sure that we are offering educational experiences across the educational continuum featuring key products determined by Global and Regional Marketing. This role will work closely with the Marketing organization and communicate and reinforce the enrolment of the appropriate HCPs based on selection criteria related to the HCPs experience and expertise.
It is expected the role will Lead by example through consistent engagement and relationship building with S&N faculty and internal stakeholders. Communicates closely with peers, especially with Content Development, Professional Relations, and Content Delivery.
Responsibilities:
Program Management: Work closely with subject matter experts to develop and enhance medical education curricula. Identify learning objectives, select appropriate instructional methods and resources and create engaging and effective educational materials.
Program coordination and logistics: Oversee the logistical aspects of medical education programs, including scheduling, venue selection, and coordination of faculty and speakers.
Arrange for necessary equipment, materials, and resources to support program delivery.
Budget Management: Monitor program status: timelines, milestones, and budgets, and take proactive measures to address any issues or delays.
Maintain accurate program records: including attendance, evaluations, and participant feedback according to the requirements of Royal College of Surgeons (RCS)
Stakeholder engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as healthcare institutions, professional societies, and marketing. Collaborate with them to identify educational needs, gather feedback, and foster partnerships to enhance program quality that strategically aligns with the franchise to support business development opportunities.
Professional Affairs (PA): Work closely with PA and ensure all HCP engagement related requirements are met and within code of conduct and regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Educational evaluation and assessment: Develop and implement evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness and impact of medical education programs. Collect and analyze data to measure learner outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards by Royal College of Surgeons (RCS)
Team collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including S+N Academy team, marketing, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless program delivery and support.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to
program activities, participant registrations, evaluations, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent, Post Graduate degree preferred,
8-12 years of relevant working experience.
Requires in-depth knowledge and experience; Subject matter expert within the organization.
Operates as the lead on large scale projects and/or multiple projects
Working understanding of training processes.
Must have experience in the field of healthcare or medical device, preferably with orthopedic exposure, with a strong bias on education.
