You will perform a key role in all contractual, tender and claim issues relating to M&E projects and ensures compliance with regulatory and requirements. Duties include preparing cost estimates, comparison sheets and plans, auditing projects, managing all costs relating to M&E works and administering all contractual, tender and claim issues.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Building.
• At least 5 years of M&E Quantity Surveying experience in construction projects and/or building variation works.
• An industry recognized certification/ qualification in Quantity Surveying.

Responsibilities:

For Tendering role:

• Studies contract conditions, preambles, architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Leads all commercial activities for tender such as preparation of \xe2\x80\x9cBill of Quantities\xe2\x80\x9d, which lists the individual components required to construct the project.
• Leads the tender process for various kinds of contract services, which includes preparing tender documents, evaluating bidders\' commercial proposals, making recommendation on the award proposal to managers and under the instructions of Senior Manager (M&E) and/or Manager (M&E), finalizing the formal contract documents etc.
• Participates in technical clarification meetings, negotiation meetings and \xe2\x80\x9ckick-off\xe2\x80\x9d meetings with successful bidders and/or vendors.
• Liaises with architects, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers and project owners on contractual, material specification and cost issues.
• Undertakes feasibility studies to assist in the decision on the worth of a project proceeding.
• Prepares quantity take-off and cost estimates relating to M&E works.
• Provides advice on contractual, tender and claim issues.
• Prepares monthly cash-flow forecasts for clients and management.
• Instruct certain tasks of the tender, sub-contract works to subordinate M&E QS and guide them to get output of the requested tasks within required due.

For Site Operations Role:

Quality

• Take off the quantity and evaluate quotations from approved vendors.
• Prepare subcontract documents and purchasing agreements.

Procurement, Contract, VOs, EOTs

• Performs costs estimates.
• Prepares and updates cash flow charts.
• Identify variation works.
• Verify progress claims submitted by subcontractors/suppliers and prepare payment responses/certificates.
• Estimate subcontractors\' final cost.
