Manage and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling, packaging, labeling, and transportation.
Supervise shipping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations (domestic and international).
Maintain shipping documentation and records for inventory control and auditing purposes.
Optimize shipping processes and strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Negotiate contracts and rates with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers.
Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or lost goods.
Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, procurement, and customer service teams.
Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are followed within the shipping department.
Utilize shipping software and ERP systems to manage logistics operations efficiently.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Shipping Manager or in a similar logistics role.
Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and logistics management.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, or TMS).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is a plus
- ability to support transport operations when necessary.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.
Able to commit with shift rotated and weekend.
