OVERVIEW OF JOB
We’re looking for a leader to build on our Data Strategy & Analytics capability in APAC and align it with our Global Vision and Structure. Customer Strategy & Insights, Data Strategy, Business Intelligence, and Analytics are the 4 capabilities core to this role. You should have experience in all 4, tremendous proficiency in 2, and downright excel at 1. As such, you’re able to establish and lead teams to develop and deliver industry leading capabilities to our clients at a global scale. Ambiguity is likely your friend, you’re likely to be a step ahead of process. You will need to contextualize this vision and develop roadmaps that allow our clients to exploit this future to their advantage. To our advantage. To your advantage. To your teams’ advantage. RESPONSIBILTIES OF THE ROLE

  • Evangelize Mindshare’s data driven planning and analysis story in market and amongst key client base with an emphasis on Outcomes
  • Evolve our future facing data strategy to permeate audience and addressable planning and analysis capabilities, and in doing so strengthen the connection between planning, content, activation, and outcomes
  • Train internal and external teams on evolved ways of working, including tools and techniques
  • Partner with your Global and Regional counterparts on product and process development to support vision

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • 3 months: Identified and organized appropriate staff into a global Data Strategy and Analytics community. Some of this exists today but we want to codify it across:
    • Customer Strategy and Insights
    • Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
    • Systems Integration
  • 6 months: Connected this team by way of platforms and process into the core of our planning business
  • 12 months: Complete operationalization and monetization of team

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
The successful candidate will have a proven record in running data-based business and revenue growth initiatives with oversight over enterprise-level data organizations, data management platforms, data science functions, audience development as well as working closely with planning teams. Further, a proven track record of creating business value through data is critical in this role. We are looking for a leader who wants to continuously push, evolve, advocate, and evangelize a future fit data and analytics organization. But, most importantly, someone who can execute this vision. Someone who is experienced enough to have earned the confidence to lead others through this change, and it’s a massive change, with the skill to make it happen. A true craftsman. Passion is required, but not at the expense of excellence. You’ve mastered a craft. Maybe two. Now you want to lead.
  • You’ve got 15+ years of experience. You’ve worked in at least two of the following Industries: (m)AdTech, Publishing, Advertising (agency), or Consulting.
  • You understand Identity and the role it plays in advertisings future, and positioning Media to quickly evolve into Experience
  • You know all data is not created equal. It probably bothers you that others don’t.
  • You believe that data can be used to drive empathy at scale, and can deliver capabilities that balance precision and emotion to drive greater attention and deeper engagement
  • You don’t confuse DMP segments with Strategic Segmentation.
  • You know the difference between a Datalake, a DMP, and a CDP and can eloquently, and persuasively, rationalize client thinking and investment across any, all, or none.
  • You know when to apply business rules versus ML.
  • You know that reporting isn’t measurement, measurement isn’t analytics, and generally speaking, analytics isn’t data science.
  • You love building, motivating, and monetizing teams and products
