TOPIC : Machine-learning Operation (MLOps): Proof-of-concept to Production

Description:

We are in the business of using AI to solve industry problems in transportation, security and defence. Our MLOps platform based on state-of-the-art cloud-native technologies has been a key enabler for us to automate and streamline ML pipelines, in order to produce highly repeatable and predictable outcomes. The next step is to provide observability and monitoring for the platform such that we have an end-to-end real-time visibility and insights into the AI operation in terms of resource usage pattern, key events and eminent disruptions, which would in turn help improve and optimize MLOps performance. The candidate would have exposure to but not limited to Kubernetes (cluster management), Prometheus / OpenTelemetry / Jaeger / Grafana (observability), Docker (container runtime), Minio (object storage) and MLFlow (collaboration & automation).

Specific Responsibilities

• Set up open-source observability tool on our MLOps platform
• Develop template-based dashboard
• Help platform users to optimize MLOps leveraging insights from operation data

Key Requirements

• Keen interest in AI, either in the model design / training / validation / optimization or in the continuous integration / deployment (CI/CD) of the models to production environment
• Skills in scripting / programming (Linux / PowerShell shell script, Python)
• Some experience as sysadmin

Expected Outcomes

• One or more observability tools up and running on our existing MLOps platform
• One or more demos of the following use cases

• Layman illustration of up-to-the-minute project bill (resource hours)
• Recommendation of inefficient use of resources
• Detection and alert of abnormal resource trend
