Job Title: MOE Professional LibrarianLocation : SingaporeAbout the role:This role will provide support and guidance to a team of Library Assistants/Library Officers in all areas of library operations, collection maintenance, library programmes and outreach activities. This position would also require the staff to engage with various stakeholders including the Library Coordinators, teacher and school leaders to promote and develop the library as the learning hub within the school community.Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of developments in school curriculum and publishing industry to ensure that recommended book list is relevant and current for schools.
  • Provide guidance to Library Assistants for their daily operations
  • Preparing and analysing regular reports e.g. library usage, loan and collection statistics, reference enquiries etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers in the procurement, selection and delivery of print and e-resources
  • Maintain the integrity of the Bibliographic records in the library database to facilitate access to library resources
  • Gather feedback from customers and share with project manager and internal teams
RequirementsYou are an experienced Librarian who is able to:
  • Manage library operations and people
  • Engage customer stakeholders and have good time management
  • Understand and have good knowledge and awareness of the range of products, library systems and resources available for different school levels
  • Use MS Office tools effectively
Hopefully, you also have a passion for reading, are familiar with digital, internet and social media online tools and platforms, and have a minimum Diploma with good credit in English.
