The company is a global designer and manufacturer of direct drive motors , stages, positioning systems and precision components for a wide range of industries. The company innovate and develop cutting-edge products that keep manufacturing, testing and inspection systems productive and reliable. As the company is expanding rapidly, the company is looking for enthusiatic individual to fill the following position: Motion Control Engineer . Carry out Development work in the area of Mechatronic Control Systems (primarily in applications of mid to heavy precision motion systems using direct drive motors) . Design and fine tune commercial motion controllers to achieve optimal motion profile. . Design , testing ,fine-tuning on existing Direct Drive Systems /Precision Motion Systems Prototype. . Work closely with Mechanical engineer and application engineer to adopted a holistic Mechatronics Control Design methodology. . Source and procure suitable electrical components, drivers, controllers . You will be part of the entire product lifecycle (om conceptualisation to commercialisation). Qualification . Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering . 1 year in Machine and Motion Component industry. . Applicants without experience but with good learning ability are welcome to apply. Skillset(s) Requirement: Technical Skills . Understand basic PID Control and able to apply fundamental knowledge on simple motion control systems. . Have taken relevant subjects such as Control, Linear Systems, Dynamic Systems or similar, as an undergraduate module. . Able to use Matlab (or other Mathematical tools) to formulate and simulate basic control model . Basic knowledge and practical experience with sensors, electrical systems and single/three-phase power supply. . Added advantage 1. Hands-on experience with commercial controllers, i.e. able to put together a controller, drivers, motor and encoders and perform PID tuning to achieve desired motion performance 2. Knowledge and hands-on experience of Modal analysis 3.
