The Motor & Personal Lines Operations team supports the General Insurance (GI) operations at Income.It plays a key role in our GI Consumer Business by supporting our stakeholders in Underwriting, Policy Servicing and Claims Processing. As a Motor & Personal Lines Claims Operations Manager,you will report to the VP & Head of Motor & Personal Lines Operations. You will oversee the overall business culture and operations, including providingguidance, and direction toclaims operations staff.You should be an experienced and well rounded 'hands on' leader with a focus on driving operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Direct day-to-day operations of the claims operations department and ensure that claims are processed within client and company guidelines Empower the claims teamand ensure quality claims metrics and service level agreements are met Collaborate with functional leadership from cross sections/departments to ensure efficiency and proper prioritization of the claims notification process Proactively create, implement and lead department digitalisation initiatives and business process improvement that produce successful results in the aforementioned areas Enhance section level bench strength by hiring, coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing career development and professional growth Provide regular feedback, support Department and Functional Heads in reporting the operations Metrics/KPI, maintain and upkeep company policy and procedure adherence Lead in supporting the Motor Reinsurance function including issuance of loss advice, escalated enquires & claims recovery from Reinsurers Lead and support the liaison of Audit matters Special projects and any other tasks as assigned Qualifications BachelorDegree holder in any discipline A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility overseeing and developing claims operations preferably in Motor & Personal Lines setting Excellent leadership, team player with good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and influence outcomes Strong organisational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal and time management skills Extensive experience with all Windows platforms, Microsoft Office, etc Receptive and adaptable to a dynamically changing and results-oriented environment Successful applicant will be required to obtain relevant insurance qualification i.e.BCP, PGI and ComGI
