Network and System Administrator
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology or any related courses.
- Hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching.
- Must have at least 3-4 years working experience as Network and Systems Administrator.
- Must have knowledge in TCP/IP suite; Network (WAN/LAN/WLAN), VPN, Remote Administration, and Internet Service (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and SMTP).
- Must have high-level knowledge on Operating Systems Design, Management, Implementation and Administration using Windows Server.
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Must be willing to be on a 24/7 on call basis.
- Networking Certification will be an advantage. (e.g. CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE-ENT, Network+, WCNA)
- Can read and speak basic Mandarin.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks and servers. Installs, configures, and maintains network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to the specifications of the office.
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
- Ensure connectivity, security, and privacy of networks and computer systems. Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems reported by end users (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
- Installs and maintains network file servers and network operating systems; ensures that backup copies of all files are routinely made and securely stored at separate locations; maintains system documentation.
- Define network policies and procedures.
- Other tasks which the supervisor assigned.
Salary and Benefits:
8 hours a day; 1 day off per week; 24/7 on-call
70,000 pesos per month for basic salary for Probationary Period
After Probation, salary is negotiable.
