Preamble
As our NOC Engineer, you will monitor and support the staging & production environment including their services.
Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve or escalate any anomalies before any form of service degradation/downtime is experienced
• Ensure that assigned or escalated requests to other internal teams or 3rd party service providers are adequately followed-up
• Monitor and oversee all incoming service requests, alerts, events and incidents
• Proactively monitor the company’s datacenters, infrastructure and systems
• Maintain and improve the NOC monitoring tools
• Review monitoring data and present recommendations
• Coordinate all communication for production incidents
• Automate repetitive support processes
• Assist in streamlining internal processes
• Recommend improvements to solve any potential shortcomings

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or any related course
• Has at least two (2) years of experience working in a similar support function
• Has good knowledge of system and application management practices
• Has exposure to technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, Zabbix, Grafana, Dynatrace and Splunk
• Is familiar with Linux-based systems and has basic Linux CLI knowledge
• Has an ITIL Foundation Certification (an advantage but not a requirement)
• Is driven and result-oriented; must be analytical and organized
• Has strong customer focus and knowledge of IT Service Management standards and processes
• Is excellent in both oral and written English communication
• Is curious, responsible and committed
