Job Summary

Job Summary
The NPI Staff Engineer is based in Kallang, Singapore.
What a typical day looks like:

• 
  New Product Introduction (NPI)
• 
  Manage a team of engineers and technicians to work on quotations for the site
• 
  Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery and cost expectations
• 
  Drive accountability for the new projects
• 
  Assess possible changes to improve, optimize or re-design integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems
• 
  Lay out options to value engineer product
• 
  Establish and improve process capabilities for the designated area of intervention, to determine manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer demand
• 
  Reviews and establishes manpower and equipment resource requirements
• 
  Develop and establish the documentation for projects
• 
  Co-ordinate and work on the requirements for equipment and process validations
• 
  Identify, validate and assess capabilities of potential collaboration partners or external vendors
• 
  Recommend the purchase of Process and Test equipment
• 
  Co-ordinate and work with other engineering team members during the initial phase of the project run (new or transferred projects)
• 
  Ensure smooth implementation of solutions and actions to resolve process and technical issues
• 
  Transfer/conduct product knowledge training to the Operations and Engineering staff
• 
  Responsible for leading a team of Process and Test engineers and technicians, to work on new projects and transferring these projects to the Operations staff of the site
• 
  Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs
• 
  Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 
  Typically requires a minimum Diploma with more than 5 years of related experiences or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• 
  Experience with medical device industry, as well as in depth knowledge on US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance, ISO13485 and FDA21CFR Part 820 will be an added advantage
• 
  Excellent Leadership and People Management Skills
