Job Description
- Industry/ Organization Type: Logistics/ Freight Forwarding
- Position Title: Ocean Import Officer
- Working Location: Jurong East
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM-6PM
- Salary: Up to $3500 + Fixed transport allowance $120 + AWS
- Duration: Permanent Role
- Shipment entries/conversion & sending of arrival notices to customers, payment requisition, prepare D/O for clearance/trucking, scanning & filing of docs
- Releasing of D/O & collecting payment for those customers arranging for their own clearance.
- Permits declaration & submission to carriers.
- Proper/accurate & fast billing.
- Check job costing for every file handled and ensure no losses.
- Month end closing.
- Verify incoming invoices & dispute with overseas offices/agents or our vendors if charges are wrongly billed.
- Coordination with customers or overseas offices/agents for shipping documents and delivery address.
- Quotation to agents.
- Booking in of vendors' or creditors' invoices.
- Follow up/chase for payment (COD & GST)
- Any other duties as may assigned by the Company's management from time to time
- Minimum 1 year of related working experience, preferably in freight forwarding industry
- Knowledge with Cargowise One System will be an added advantage.
- Able to work in fast paced environment
