Job Description
Our client is a fast growing Shipping Brand. Currently they are looking for a well qualified candidate to join them as " Head of Operations (Container Vessel Operations) ".
In this role, your key responsibilities will involve the following areas :
- Overseeing a junior planner
- Husbandry
- Stowage Planning
- Berthing procedures
- Terminal coordination and TA negotiation
- Special cargo approval
- Chartering of vessels, engaging with Brokers and Vessel Owners
- Close monthly accounts and prepare for full set accounting reports
- Dealing with Audit firm, IRAS, Tax authorities for accounting issues
- Assist management for statistics reports
- Cover both Singapore and Malaysia accounting and payroll and HR matters
- Diploma/Degree in Maritime or related field
- Minimum 5 years and more of relevant experience in handling container vessels / vessel operations in Southeast Asia
- Possess a strategic mindset
- Able to build team cohesiveness and work towards the end goal
- Hands on and a "can-do" attitude
- Organised and effective/efficient
